Fletch! — Arrow Puzzle · last updated 28 September 2026
Fletch! is a puzzle game published by Jogiba Games for Android (Google Play) and iPhone (the App Store). This policy explains exactly what the game stores, what leaves your device, and who else can see it. Where the two apps differ, the difference is spelled out.
What the game stores on your device
Your progress — level, arrows collected, streak, settings, achievements and any unfinished board — is saved in your device's local storage. Clearing the app's data or your browser's storage erases it.
What is backed up to the cloud
- If you sign in — with Google, or on iPhone with Apple — your save is backed up to Google Firebase under that account, so you can restore it after reinstalling or on another device. We then hold the email address associated with the account. If you never sign in, the current version backs nothing up and nothing about your progress leaves your device.
- Earlier versions also backed your save up automatically once you had made some progress, without a sign-in, under an anonymous Firebase account that holds no name, email or any identifying detail. The current version moves such a backup into the save on your phone and then deletes it, together with that anonymous account, the first time it runs online. An account made with an email address in an earlier version keeps working and can be deleted the same way as any other.
- Sign in with Apple (iPhone): Apple shares your name only if you
allow it, and an email address — which is a private relay address ending in
privaterelay.appleid.comif you choose Hide My Email. Mail to a relay address is forwarded by Apple, and you can stop it in your Apple Account settings. We use the name and email only to identify your account and its backup. - The backup contains game data only: progress, statistics, settings and purchases. It never contains contacts, photos, location or device identifiers.
Leaderboards and friends
The current Android and iPhone apps have no leagues, leaderboards, friends list or public profile: nothing about you is shown to other players. If such features return, they will be optional, work only if you sign in, and this policy will say exactly what other players can see before they do.
Earlier Android versions (before the rebuilt app of September 2026) had optional leaderboards that worked only if you signed in. If you used them, other players could see your first name (or an anonymous player code), your level, your streak and your weekly score, and a device still on one of those versions keeps showing them until the game is updated.
Inviting a friend
The current Android and iPhone apps invite a friend with a plain link to the game, shared through your device's own share sheet: no code, and nothing is recorded about who you shared it with. We never read your contacts.
Earlier Android versions (before the rebuilt app of September 2026) had a friend code. Only if someone redeemed such a code do we hold one record linking the two accounts (your anonymous account identifier, theirs, and the code used) so that each player can be referred once. It contains no name, email or contact details.
Test builds
Pre-release builds distributed to testers (never the version on Google Play or the App Store) record the tester's account identifier, app version, language, device type and browser string once, so we know which builds are being tested. Production builds never write this record.
Reminders
The optional daily streak reminder is scheduled on your device only. No reminder data leaves it, and you can switch it off in Settings.
Advertising
The game shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. AdMob may process your device's advertising identifier and similar data to select and measure ads, as described in Google's privacy policy. Ads appear between levels and as optional rewarded videos you choose to watch. Players in the EEA and UK are shown Google's consent form before any ad loads. An ad-free plan or Fletch Club removes the forced ads between levels; rewarded videos are never forced and remain available on every plan, so you only ever see one after choosing to watch it.
On iPhone, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is only available to AdMob if you allow it when iOS asks through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline — or never answer — ads are still shown, but they are not personalised using the IDFA, and the game works exactly the same either way. You can change your answer at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Analytics
The current Android and iPhone apps do not include Google Firebase Analytics or any other analytics service. Earlier Android versions (before the rebuilt app of September 2026) used Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is played — for example which levels are won or lost, and which features are used. Those events are pseudonymous and are never linked to your name or email, and a device still on one of those versions keeps sending them until the game is updated.
Crash reports and performance
The current Android and iPhone apps do not include Google Firebase Crashlytics or Firebase Performance Monitoring. Earlier Android versions (before the rebuilt app of September 2026) used them to find and fix crashes, slow screens and failed requests, and a device still on one of those versions keeps using them until the game is updated: if the game crashes or hits an error, a report containing the error and its stack trace, the level you were playing, your device model, operating system version, app version and a Crashlytics installation identifier is sent to Google, and performance data such as app start time, how long screens take to draw and how long requests to our servers take is collected the same way. None of this contains your name, email or account details.
App integrity
To protect the cloud-save service from abuse, the Android app uses Firebase App Check with Google's Play Integrity API. Requests to our Firebase backend carry a short-lived token showing they come from the genuine app on a genuine Android device. The check is performed by Google and is not linked to your identity. The iPhone app does the same with Apple's DeviceCheck service, which attests the genuine app on a genuine Apple device without identifying you.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by the store you installed the game from: Google Play on Android, Apple's App Store on iPhone. We never see or store your payment details; the game only records whether an entitlement is active (and keeps that record in your cloud save if you sign in).
Children
Fletch! is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the Google services described above (Firebase, AdMob and Google Play), which act as our processors, and — on iPhone — Apple, for App Store purchases, Sign in with Apple and DeviceCheck.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account yourself, at once, from inside the game, on iPhone and on Android from version 1.0.216 (update the game from Google Play if you do not see it): Settings → Cloud Save → Delete cloud account (in earlier versions: Settings → Account & Premium → Cloud save → Delete account, and for a backup made without signing in the confirmation reads Delete cloud backup). You confirm who you are first — with Google if you signed in more than a few minutes ago, your password for an email account, or on iPhone Sign in with Apple — and the game then removes your cloud save, any public profile and your sign-in account, and backs nothing up again unless you sign in again. It works for every way of signing in, including Sign in with Apple with a hidden email address, where an email from you could not be matched to the account. If you used Sign in with Apple, the game also asks Apple to revoke its access. The progress on your phone stays; uninstalling the app removes that local copy immediately.
Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription, which is billed by the store: on Android manage it in the Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions; on iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. The one record we keep is the pseudonymous invite record described above, if a friend code was ever redeemed between two accounts: it holds only anonymous account identifiers and the code, and it is kept so that no account can be referred twice.
If your version of the game has no Delete account, or you cannot open the game, or it is no longer installed, email jogibagames@gmail.com from the address you signed in with (on an earlier Android version you can instead include your in-game friend code) and we will delete your cloud save and account within 30 days. To limit ad personalisation, reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
To limit ad personalisation on iPhone, turn off tracking for Fletch! in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update this page and the date above.
